Belted Kingfisher

Description

Belted Kingfishers I find are one of the hardest birds to get a decent image of. Rarely staying in one spot for any length of time. Always on the move, always leary of anyones presence around them, and so fast. I was lucky on this occasion when a log had lodged itself along the banks of the Speed River here in Cambridge Ontario. Allowing me to get close in the undergrowth with my blind chair, without them noticing my proximity.
